Biography

Tiecheng Sun: During his doctoral studies, he worked on the clinical front line for 3 years, managed more than 200 inpatients, and served as first assistant in more than 400 surgeries. He participated throughout outpatient diagnosis, post-admission surgical plan formulation, surgical informed consent discussions, surgical treatment, and postoperative rehabilitation guidance. He assisted his supervisor in mentoring junior fellow students in clinical work and was a valuable assistant to his teachers; he served as chief resident of the Maxillofacial Plastic Surgery Center for six months, made appropriate departmental work arrangements, achieved patient satisfaction during visits, and received unanimous praise from department faculty, nursing assistants, and patients.
Clinical Skills: Mastered the basic principles and basic procedures of orthognathic surgery and facial contouring surgery (sagittal split ramus osteotomy of the mandible, Le Fort I osteotomy of the maxilla, anterior maxillary and mandibular osteotomy, mandibular angle osteotomy, zygomatic reduction osteotomy, osseous genioplasty, and chin augmentation with implant); mastered the basic operative principles of oculoplastic surgery (double eyelid blepharoplasty, canthoplasty, and lower eyelid bag correction), injectable minimally invasive aesthetic procedures, liposuction and body contouring, and facial autologous fat grafting; participated in the diagnosis and treatment of all congenital craniofacial deformities in the specialty group (orbital hypertelorism, craniosynostosis, Crouzon syndrome, hemifacial microsomia, crying face syndrome, etc.), and accumulated certain clinical experience and surgical skills in the diagnosis and treatment of complex congenital craniofacial deformities.
Skilled in doctor-patient communication: emphasizes the patient experience, pays attention to patient psychology, focuses on cultivating his own medical humanities literacy, actively follows up postoperatively, answers patients' questions and resolves their concerns, guides rehabilitation, and has received thank-you letters from patients on multiple occasions.
Specialties: Participated in multidisciplinary research, has experience in medicine-engineering integration research, and has a good understanding of the research and development of surgical robots. Proficient in digital technology; skilled in the use of 3D scanners, three-dimensional stereoscopic cameras, 3D Morpheus, the 3dMD dynamic facial scanning system, as well as ProPlan/Mimics/Geomagic software and 3D printers; mastered surgical simulation technology and the design and fabrication techniques for osteotomy guides, occlusal guides, and implant prostheses.
